Branding is so important for businesses in todays day and age. A company that has a unified and consistent brand can position their company far higher than their competitors.

So how do you create your brand?

Here are 3 tips to creating a unified brand for your business:

  1. Consider your branding personality. What feel do you want your customers to have? What feel should your industry give to others when they utilize your services or buy your products? This information can be very important in helping you create your brand. If you want to establish a company that is modern and sophisticated in its processes than you will need to ensure that your color schemes and fonts used in your marketing materials portray this feeling.

  2. What color schemes will you choose and stick too throughout the entire course of your marketing? Do you already have a color scheme set in place? Have you considered the meaning of each color that you use for marketing and do these colors accurately portray the personality that you want your customers to feel? The colors chosen in this step will need to be consistent throughout all of your marketing on every platform so make sure they represent you well and are ones that you like. Color schemes should consist of 3 to 5 colors including some neutral or supportive colors such as beige, white, black, etc. One of these colors should also be the accent color that pops out of the entire color scheme. This accent color will draw your customers in to the most important details.

  3. What fonts do you like for your marketing materials? Within your marketing, we suggest that you should have no more than 3 fonts that you use for promotional materials. This should be consistent from your website to your social media and even into your printing or traditional marketing tools. The first font should be large and noticeable and can be used within headlines or informational pieces that you want to stand out as most important. The second font will be used to support the first. This one can be used for paragraph structures and should be very easy to read. The third font can be your fancy and fun font. This one might include cursive fonts or just a fun font that accents your brand. This font will be used to highlight the fun pieces of your marketing or the side notes that you want your readers to see last.
